Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu 2009

Bugatti has launched another special edition Veyron lineup with the Grand Sport “Sang Bleu”. The Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu open-top two-seater features a unique dual color combination, the silver is polished aluminum while the royal blue is a specially tinted carbon fiber. Further distinguishing this million-dollar variant are body color rear air scoops and wheels with Midnight Blue paint and a Diamond Cut two-tone finish.

Like all Veryons, the Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu features a potent 1,001-horsepower W-16 quad-turbocharged engine and all-wheel-drive powetrain. It shares the rest of its technical specification with the Bugatti Grand Sport on which it’s based, while this one-off is expected to command a price tag in excess of £1.4m.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport 2009

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport powered by the same 16-cylinder quad-turbo engine that makes 747kW (1,015hp) and 1,250Nm of peak torque. When the roof is closed, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport can reach 407 km/h, while speeds of up to 360 km/h are possible with the roof off. Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir 2009

The EB 16.4 Veyron Sang Noir is a special edition, created for the true automotive connoisseur. While its entirely black exterior may initially appear subdued, upon closer inspection it becomes clear that a select number of visual accents make this special Veyron just as vividly coloured as its brighter counterparts.

Similar to its thoroughbred predecessor, the Type 57S Atlantic, the EB 16.4 Veyron Sang Noir exposes a raptor-like DNA that is reflected throughout the entire model history of the marque.

Even the hand-stitched, all-leather interior of the EB 16.4 Veyron Sang Noir plays on the theme of a harmony of extremes. The light and confident Tangerine is offset by a black-piano lacquer finished centre console; both available exclusively to this edition. A dominant black tinted carbon fibre monocoque joins the elegant black body sides, which in turn are complemented by polished details.
The face of the EB 16.4 Veyron Sang Noir is instantly recognisable due to the iconic horseshoe grill, finished exclusively in chrome.
This striking and unparalleled harmony between luxury and sportiness is complemented by alloy-coloured details in the form of the chromed Bugatti grill and door-mirrors, as well as polished wheel surfaces and roof-rails. All-black front lights, air intakes, filler caps and door-handles naturally heighten the stunning effect of the racing-blue brake callipers.
Of the Bugatti EB Veyron 16.4 Sang Noir 15 cars will be built and offered in Europe, the Middle East and the United States.

Bugatti Veyron Type 35 Grand Prix 2009

Bugatti revealed four special Veyron models, The Type 35 Grand Prix. In a further highlight on this year’s agenda of centennial celebrations, Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. presented four Bugatti Veyron specials at Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. These one off models are reminders of Bugatti’s glorious motor-racing history which played a central role in popularising and ultimately establishing the myth which the brand continues to enjoy to this day.

The Bugatti Veyron Specials Type 35 Grand Prix built to mark the 100th anniversary of the brand feature the racing colors of the respective countries: blue for France, red for Italy, green for England and white for Germany. Each of the four new Veyrons has a specific “predecessor” in the form of an original Grand Prix Bugatti on which it was modelled. These four historic race cars represent the generation of legendary Bugatti Grand Prix racers which were piloted by world-famous race-car drivers and which scored countless racing victories in the 1920s and ‘30s. Each of the four Veyron Specials Type 35 Grand Prix is named after a Bugatti race-car driver of the 1920s and 30s. Jean-Pierre Wimille has given the blue Veyron its name, Achille Varzi the red one, Malcolm Campbell the green one and Hermann zu Leiningen the white Veyron.

Mansory Linea Vincero Bugatti Veyron 2009

Already the Bugatti Veyron serial edition sets standards in terms of price, maximum speed and engine power and leaves its competitors far behind when a contender for the super sports car is to be crowned. Whoever now thinks that everything possible has been achieved, can be proved wrong. Already visually, the changes clearly show. The front part gets a comprehensive face-lift including modified wings, a shorter hood and a striking front apron. The LED daytime running lights integrated in the front mount and the implemented stylised “V” as a special tribute to the name “VincerĂ²” draw even more attention to the car. The newly developed side skirts are the visual and aerodynamic connection between the axles. Larger air outlets at the sides and at the back render optimal engine cooling and in combination with the new diffuser, they underline the powerful car design. Mansory manufactures nearly all auto body parts from ultra-light and high-strength carbon. The applied hardening technique with strong pressure and high temperatures in the autoclave thereby enormously improve the material quality.

In order to perfect the entire visual appearance, Mansory devised new, striking fully-forged turbine-design wheels for the Linea VincerĂ² in serial dimensions. Also, the power engine is refined by Mansory. Technical innovation is combined with technical expertise and thereby, an increased cooling air supply and optimised exhaust system produce an unbelievable 1109 hp and 1310 Nm.

The Mansory individualisation programme for the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is offered in a limited edition via the Middle East partner “Prestige Cars Abu Dhabi”.

Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire 2009

Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. has created the Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire, a unique model to celebrate the hundred year old history of the company. This special model takes up the traditional Bugatti two-tone-specification, but portrays it in one rather than two colours: in the most known light shaded Bugatti blue. The Centenaire’s unique combination of a « sprintblue matt » and « sprintblue gloss » hence offers a new impression of the two-tone-scheme known so far with parts of the engine also covered in this traditional Bugatti Blue.

The roof-trim-stripes and the exterior rearview mirrors are of polished, anodised aluminium. A special wheel design has been added – enhanced by a bright red brake-capillar. The grills at the front and at the side air intakes are in « mirror shine ».

The interior of the Centenaire is fitted in a special «snowbeige» leather with quilting on the seats. The central console is covered in the same leather. New LED lights, Park Distance Control and a rearview camera have become part of the standard equipment for all Bugatti Veyrons from this year onwards. The Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire shares all performance characteristics of other Veyron models performance-, acceleration- and deceleration characteristics which have been highly praised ever since the Bugatti Veyron first appeared on the scene. The car will cost 1,35 Million Euro exclusive taxes and transportation.

Bugatti Veyron 2009

The Bugatti Veyron is an impressive platform of top end automotive technology and – loyal to Bugatti’s heritage « nothing is too expensive, nothing is too beautiful » – only the best parts and materials in the trade are used in the production process. And the Bugatti Veyron is a truly international car. One of the key- and most sophisticated parts, the 7 speed-sequential-DSG – double-clutch-gearbox, is made by motor sport specialists Ricardo in the UK, the unique 16 cylinder-8.0-litre-engine comes from the Volkswagen engine plant in Salzgitter in Germany.

The tyres – the first production tyres in the industry homologated for speeds above 400 km/h – are a joint development with Michelin. The carbon fibre monocoque is built by ATR in Italy, the front- and rear- structure in forged aluminium by Heggemann in Germany and the bespoke carbon-ceramic brakes by AP Racing in Great Britain. The paintwork is German, the leather Austrian, the windscreen is manufactured in Finland, and so it goes on.

Only 300 units of the Bugatti Veyron will ever be built. Production started at rate of 50 cars per annum, approximately one a week. Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S., however, is striving to achieve a higher number and plans to get closer to an annual output of a hundred in order to reduce the waiting period for customers.
It does not come as a surprise that over 30% of the Bugatti Veyron orders are tagged for the United States, traditionally by far the most important market for luxury cars. The USA are followed by Germany. 19% of total orders have been placed by German customers to date. The United Kingdom, classically a country with a very strong link to the legendary Bugatti brand, is third with 16% and the Middle East comes fourth with around 15%.
1998 through 1999: four design studies in 15 months’ time In April 1998, the Volkswagen Group took over the Bugatti trademark, presenting the brand to the public for the first time at the International Motor Show in Paris with a study for a twodoor coupe it had commissioned Italdesign to create: the Bugatti EB 118. A few months later, in March 1999, at the Geneva Motor Show, a design of the EB 218, itself also created at Italdesign, caused a sensation with a four-door saloon using the same 18-cylinder, 6.3 litre engine with 555 hp.
This was followed, the same year, at the IAA in Frankfurt, by the centre-engine design, the Bugatti EB 18/3 Chiron; once again Giugiaro was responsible for the design. And shortly thereafter, in Tokyo, the Bugatti EB 18/4 Veyron celebrated its world premiere, a model designed at the ‘Volkswagen Centre of Excellence Design’ under the directorship of Hartmut Warkuss.
No more than nearly a year later, in autumn 2000 in Paris, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was shown for the first time. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 with the ultimate in performance features, the 1001 hp, 8- litre, 16-cylinder engine and its technological specifications – 1250 Nm at 2,200 rpm, peak speed of more than 400 km/h, four turbochargers and permanent four-wheel drive – features that have remained in place to this day, celebrated its debut at the IAA in Frankfurt in September of 2001.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Pur Sang Edition 2008

Visitors to the Atelier in Molsheim are always intrigued to see the Bugatti Veyron’s high-tech components being meticulously assembled into an automotive work of art. Watching the car coming together, coupled with an admiration for the technical beauty of its structure, gave the designers the idea of finishing the car in its pure material configuration – meaning no color coating. The result is the EB 16.4. Veyron “Pur Sang”, a two-tone study of pure materialness showing the car’s true essentials: carbon and aluminum.

The carbon monocoque holds the engine plus the passenger cell, while the polished aluminum panelling is enhanced by reflections in the sculpted bodywork. Interestingly, the rawness of the materials even more strongly highlights the dual character of this car: performance power coupled with cruising comfort, structure and body, dark and light.

A closer look at the details reveals the technical logic behind this stylistic appearance. The sophisticated monocoque contains all the core structural components, including the W16 engine, the passenger cell, the crash box and the linkages to the wheels. It is this purpose-driven fundament that is visible as the center of the car in clear-coated carbon fiber.
Equally consistent is the use of the aluminum paneling. This lends shape and a unique body sculpture to the car, covering the wheels in a muscular and powerful expression by way of elaborately shaped fenders. Highly polished, these perfectly tensioned shapes strongly visualize the fascinating surface reflections that define every Veyron.
The balanced graphic appearance is also visible when looking down onto the car from above. These qualities take on a distinct appearance – almost like that found in a Mondrian painting. As its pur sang label suggests, this individualized customer car shares the same kind of DNA as that of classic cars from the Bugatti past: the “Atalante”, the Type 55, the Type 41 “Royal” all had an unmistakable and characteristic graphic signature. It is this precise division of performance components and body paneling – in this form – that makes the EB 16.4. Veyron “Pur Sang” unique in the supercar world.
